Cram TV’s 10th Anniversary Ball was an event which I organised and managed to celebrate 10 years of Cram Television. My main focus on this production was of course making sure the event ran smoothly since I was production manager.

As well as being production manager I utilised my advanced technical ability and took the roll of head technical department which saw me manage the installation and routing of sound from FOH and for broadcast as well as the installation of lighting which actual also saw me design, rig and programme the lighting setup. I also mapped the signal routing for broadcast feeding 4 camera’s including 1 robotic PTZ camera to be pushed out live online to multiple primary and backup encoders as well as also feeding the onstage screen with GFX and VTs which was routed via our VT engine to auxiliaries on the main vision mixer. With the show being broadcast it was also important that we had adequate internet bandwidth to be able to deliver our content to our CDN for transmission and this required an external 4G router to be installed which actually give us faster speeds than the venues ADSL broadband. A very busy production setup but very much enjoyable!

Going back to the event management side, this saw me manage logistics from crewing the event with the likes of finding the right sound engineer, camera crew, vision mixer, lighting team, stage management and of course all the way to finding the right performers to fulfil my ambitious schedule. Since the show was also being broadcast live I had my work cut-out to not only entertain the audience within the venue but to also entertain the audience watching at home and its fair to say with the fantastic feedback which we received post event we absolutely nailed it.

The show featured an introducing music hour filled with local singer to get the audience warmed up followed by a community recognition awards handout before the main headlining 7 piece band took to the stage to round off the night.
