Mark Kram’s Saturday Night Party (MKSNP) was my weekly radio show which was broadcast live on English speaking radio across the UK from 2009-2018. The show has been broadcast on local community station’s Vibe Radio, Broseley FM, Broad Radio, Cram FM and HCA Radio. The show was our biggest uplifting show of the week playing the best of old and new party songs alongside the traditional party anthems and other upbeat music. The show also included a switch over for the final 30 minutes of airplay to Mark Kram’s Saturday Night Party Mix where an exclusive 27 minute DJ mix was mixed live to round off the show.

HCA Radio based at Hedworthfield Community Association is a local community radio station, which I was involved in. As well as being the home of my radio show, I was also involved in the making and running of the station as the station manager.

I was technical engineering manager. My role overseen managing the technical side of the studio and audio output as well as actively being involved in the technical running of outside broadcast events outside of the studio.

As well as being involved in the technical side of the station for some time I was asked by the station chairman if I would take the role of station manager. During this role I was involved in the making and running of the station where I adapted the station from the early stages from implementing a new schedule to bringing more people on-board to where it progressed to become widely popular within the local community. I also took charge of local events which the station ran. From music nights to community events staged at its venue in Tyneside to being beamed to the web in full HD video (with my visual broadcast capabilities) (2013 – 2018)

HCA Radio Broadcast Marathon was a world record breaking event which I was involved in at Hedworthfield Community Association in August 2014. The event was in aid of trying to raise money for HCA Radio as well as raising money for a local charity. The event involved myself and the station chairman staying live on the net-waves for over 85 hours breaking the current world record for the longest radio show broadcast by a team. The event not only was broadcast live on station but also visually streamed live online for people to watch. Two local acts including a singer and a band also performed live on the radio who supported and helped more people to donate. The event made headlines in local news paper The Shields Gazette which you can find and read the whole of two articles via The Shields Gazette website here and here.

HCA Radio Live was an event which I managed at Hedworthfield Community Association in April 2014. The event was in aid of trying to raise money for HCA Radio as well as showcasing local talent. The event was broadcast live on station as well as being visually streamed live online. Five local acts including a DJ set from myself entertained the crowed to what was great night. A number of people who attended the event praised all who was involved for a fantastic night. The event made headlines in local news paper The Shields Gazette which you can find and read the whole article via The Shields Gazette website here.

Cram FM is a former radio station which I developed, managed and presented on for a number of years before unfortunately closing due to the high rated costs of running the station. The station was formed as a community radio station for the community of South Shields and surrounding areas in 2009 and went on to become a recognised station in the community with a strong and continues growing team. The station took part in hosting outside events and saw the likes of now famous Jade Thirwell from girl group Little Mix and Jamie Lambert from boy band Collabro perform live on the station       (2009 – 2013)

During the summer of 2011 myself and former Cram FM presenters took to the airwaves for a whooping total of 58 hours (3 more hours than expected) in a bid to raise awareness and to raise money for Caner Research. I lost a good friend of the family to caner a while ago and I thought by doing this show would be a great way to raise cash for the charity. I travelled South to Swindon approximately 286 miles South West of where Cram FMs main headquarters where based in North East England where I met up with former station manager where myself and others broadcast the marathon from former Swindon studio. We also made headlines in local news paper The Shields Gazette. ‘DJ Mark aims to Cram in the hours’. You can find and read the whole article via The Shields Gazette website here.
